NexRide Riding Stunts: Wheelie Controls and Near Miss Rewards
Last updated:
Wheelies and near misses earn cash as you ride through NexRide. Use the wheelie controls to raise and lower the front wheel, then learn which displays track an active stunt and which confirm a payout.
While riding a started bike, hold W to raise the front wheel. Watch the angle display and Balanced status, then release W or tap Space to lower it and collect the wheelie payout. Passing closely by vehicles can trigger CLOSE CALL and build a consecutive-call streak. Near miss banked confirms that the streak reward has paid out.

Wheelies and Near Misses at a Glance
| Stunt | What you do | How the reward builds | Payout signal |
|---|---|---|---|
| Wheelie | Ride with the front wheel raised. | Sustain the wheelie while moving; the panel tracks duration, distance, and accumulated cash. | Lowering the front wheel ends the action and pays the reward. |
| Near miss / CLOSE CALL | Pass closely by a vehicle. | Consecutive close passes can build a streak. | Near miss banked confirms the streak payout. |
Start with wheelies if you want to practice an action you can begin and end with your own inputs. Near misses require close passes through traffic. For how these rewards fit alongside other income options, see the NexRide money guide.
Raise, Monitor and Lower a Wheelie
Begin with your bike started and already moving. If you need help getting underway, follow the PC controls and bike startup guide.
- Hold W to raise the front wheel.
- Watch the angle display and Balanced status while riding with the wheel raised. These help you monitor the bike's position during the stunt.
- Release W or tap Space to bring the front wheel down.
Treat the angle and Balanced indicators as feedback about your current position; they are not instructions to hold a particular target angle.
How Wheelie Cash Builds and Pays Out
Keep moving with the front wheel raised to build the wheelie's cash reward. The panel tracks the action's duration, distance, and accumulated money, alongside its angle and balance status. Sustaining the wheelie longer can increase the running amount.
The accumulated amount belongs to the active stunt. Bringing the front wheel down ends the wheelie and pays its reward, so distinguish the running panel from the payout notification after landing.
One landing payout was $7. That is an individual reward example, not a fixed payment for every wheelie or a cash-per-second rate.
Trigger CLOSE CALL and Read a Banked Streak
- Ride closely past a traffic vehicle to trigger a CLOSE CALL.
- Make consecutive close passes to build the streak count.
- Watch for Near miss banked to identify the streak payout.
Read the passing distance, streak count, and cash amount as separate parts of the reward display:
- One CLOSE CALL displayed 104 cm and a $6 reward. The distance describes that pass; it is not a fixed trigger threshold.
- A separate 2 in a row streak banked $24. That is one two-call payout, not a guaranteed amount for every pair of close calls.
The wheelie payout and Near miss banked messages can appear close together while riding. Each identifies its own stunt reward.
Stunts During Police Pursuits
Doing a wheelie in front of police can trigger a pursuit. Once you are being chased, do fewer wheelies to reduce the risk of police catching up; prioritize keeping the ride under control over extending a stunt.
Wheelie and near-miss cash are separate from the ON THE RUN escape reward. Collecting stunt cash does not complete that chase objective. Use the police pursuit guide for chase controls, escape reward conditions, and arrest fines.
